We kick off new music this week with a remake of the 1991 smash hit ‘Everybody’s Free (to Feel Good)’ originally performed by Zambian-born singer Rozalla. According to Sydney-based singer-songwriter Nat Conway, this song has been her lucky charm for many years. She performed it at her Australian X Factor audition to get through in 2015 and has since had the opportunity to record and produce the song with current go-to UK producer MNEK, and then have it immediately picked up for a Nine Network all-of-station promo sync. We think you’ll love this 2016 update to a nineties classic.
Hugely successful in the early 2000s, UK R&B singer-songwriter-producer Craig David has been back in the studio over the past year after an extended hiatus. A new album, Following My Intuition, is due out on 30 September and the lead single, ‘Ain’t Giving Up’, featuring current UK producer-hitmakers Sigala, should be just that – a massive hit.
US singer-songwriter Demi Lovato is looking to follow up last year’s summer hit, ‘Cool for the Summer’, with another sexy dancefloor filler. ‘Body Say’ has all the hallmarks for a 2016 smash hit.
A brand-new production duo from Melbourne, brothers Myles and Oscar Sach-Haber, call themselves Two Can. For their debut, they’ve teamed up with Brisbane-based vocalist Savoi for ‘Holding On to You’.
The Jason Singh Project, which we’ve been supporting for the past year, wraps up with song number six from Jason. ‘Surrender’ is a little darker than its predecessors and an excellent single in its own right. Well done to Jason, and we look forward to what comes next from this great Melbourne talent.
