Out-and-proud lad Troye Sivan has dropped the latest from his forthcoming album. ‘Bloom’ has a secret message, but will you get to the bottom of the mystery and work it out?
His debut release ‘Take Cover’ was an Australian hit, and now Sydney-based producer Jordie Ireland has given us another hit. ‘One in a Million’ is a bop that we think you’ll love, especially with the vocals of Australian singer-songwriter Ava Hayz.
Jack River is Sydney-based singer, songwriter and producer Holly Rankin. She’s released the follow-up to Fault Line, and we think that ‘Ballroom’ has the perfect rock sound with a pop sensibility to uplift you for your work day. And with a music video full of gold, neon and frolicking mermen, you’ll be hooked on it.
British singer Jess Glynne is back with new solo music and ‘I’ll Be There’ hits all the spots. Three years have passed since the release of I Cry When I Laugh, but Jess has been busy collaborating with other artists in the meantime to create a string of hits. This one should hit the spot too.
We all love a good dance with Armin van Buuren and he’s got us going again with ‘Therapy’. Featuring British singer James Newman, this is being touted as a (Northern) summer hit but it works just as well for us as it cools down.
As we prepare for the Eurovision Grand Final on Sunday morning (Melbourne time), the final additions of the season land in Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix. French duo Madame Monsieur sing about a refugee baby in their entry, ‘Mercy’. The French version is pretty good, but the English remix makes the song even more meaningful. We think it’ll tug at your heartstrings. Our very own Jess Mauboy is hoping to be on stage in her glittery dress and we’ve enlisted the help of Sydney-based DJ Brett Austin aka Glammstar to add some glitter to ‘We Got Love’. You’ll hear the remix later in the day on JOY.
