Want variety? You’ve certainly got it with this week’s newest additions to Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix.

Troye Sivan has released a brand-new single from his forthcoming album, Bloom. For those who can’t wait for the album’s release in August comes ‘Dance to This’, dropped as a ‘grat track’ by the out-and-proud Aussie singer alongside Ariana Grande. It’s a song you can dance to at the start of the evening, with a bridge that will take you by surprise. Find a partner and get down to this one.

American duo REYNA are new to the daytime mix with their latest single, ‘Baby Forget It’. Gab and her out-and-proud sister Vic reformed as REYNA early in 2016 and have since been creating electronic pop. If you love Tegan and Sara, you’ll love these girls’ sound. We reckon they’re an act to watch.

Grab your guitars for a touch of country! You might remember Casey Barnes as one of the top 11 in 2009’s edition of Australian Idol, but he has been making music since 2006. Lately, it’s been very country, which led to Casey being nominated for a Golden Guitar this year. His latest album, The Good Life, peaked at #2 on the ARIA Country chart and his new single is sure to catch your attention. Don’t be fooled by the country sounds of ‘Be Mine’ – this pop crossover has been produced by Melbourne’s MSquared Productions and we reckon it’ll get you singing along.

Shawn Mendes is currently touring around the Americas, taking advantage of the success of his self-titled third studio album. ‘Nervous’ is the latest single from that Australian #1 album and it’s bound to put his musical competition on edge. We think you’ll love a touch of Shawn in your ears during the day.

Swede Michel Young has been making music for a while now but is gaining popularity after being discovered by the same woman who took September to international fame. ‘Come Over’ is a well-produced piece of Swedish pop that would feel at home in any good poptastic playlist.

Sometimes an artist can change their sound just enough to get the attention of a new group of fans. Canadian duo DVBBS falls into this category, with a slight tweak to their normal EDM sound delivering a very commercial single. ‘IDWK’ features American hip-hop singer Blackbear on vocals and, unlike its title, you will wanna know when it gets a spin on JOY.
