Hanging for some new tunes? Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix has you covered.

Local gay lad Just Shy has been churning out the tunes of late, and his newest pumps out the sounds for a return to the 80s. ‘Body Language’ brings to life the story of a flirtatious friendship with stop-start synths and a tonne of keys. It’s sure to remind you of that friend who you wish was a little bit more than just a friend.

Being in Stockholm of late is really showing in ALIUS‘s music. Out-and-proud Sebastian Ivanov has released ‘Caught Up’, bringing a chilled vibe to an emotive pop song. The Melburnian has teamed up with Sydney trio Un-Ti to bring you a song that will have you singing along.

It’s raining cash for British producer Sigala in his newest gem. Featuring Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor and French Montana, ‘Just Got Paid’ is made for that afternoon when you discover your bank balance has increased since the day before. It’s bound to be a summer hit and should promise bags of royalties for everyone involved.

Tay-Tay is coming to Australia next month, and to celebrate she has released a new single from her chart-topping album reputation. A departure from what we’ve heard off the current album, ‘Getaway Car’ will take you back to the glory days of 1989 and is classic Taylor Swift. We reckon you’ll enjoy this one.

Silk City might seem like a new group, but in fact it is a collaboration between some old favourites. Mark Ronson and Diplo have got together to create the Silk City sound, and ‘Electricity’ is the fourth single from the veterans. It’s made for the dance floor, with its vocal house stylings alongside Dua Lipa‘s soaring vocals. You’ll feel the surge when this one blasts out of your speakers.

We haven’t had new music from a Jackson in a while, so it’s nice to hear something new from one of the family. Janet Jackson last released a tune back in 2015, but she’s returned with a Latin bop in ‘Made For Now’. The man responsible for ‘Despacito’, Daddy Yankee, joins in with a feel-good number that has a simple message: live life today.
