Canadian duo Young Bombs have made a name for themselves thanks to a heap of huge remixes of late. Martin Kottmeier and Tristan Norton have finally released their first original track, and it’s a corker. ‘Starry Eyes’ is a lush singalong, complete with gospel handclapping and a chorus that’s made to get stuck in your head. We can’t wait to hear what’s next for these two lads.
Alok has been a busy man this year, having released two other singles before his newest. The Brazilian producer has teamed up with bisexual German DJ-producer Felix Jaehn and British boy band The Vamps for ‘All the Lies’. This one was created during a Spotify writing camp in Sweden, and it shows. It’s a made-for-radio single ahead of The Vamps’ European tour. We love it and think you will too.
After being signed to a Swedish label, Adelaide’s Kelly Matejcic has dropped her debut single. Featuring the production work of Austrian Mahout, ‘Let You Know’ has seen major radio success in Turkey since it was playlisted by the country’s public broadcaster. There’s something nice about the sound of tropical house during autumn, and we think it’ll heat your day up.
Local out-and-proud singer Zak Love delivers his follow-up to ‘Left Behind’ with the help of fellow Melburnian and producer ALIUS. ‘Forever’ is an ode to one of Zak’s inspiring mentors, who would always sign cards off with “Forever in my heart”. It gets a daytime lift from Sydney-based DJ Matt Green.
Sydney’s Drew Carmody is back with something new as L D R U. With two years having passed since his last release, ‘Lay You Down’ marks the first track in a new series, He plans to release a new song every couple of months, and this one features Sydney singer Muki. We think it’ll bring an uplifting zing to the mix.
Harvey Cantwell was first known as a presenter on British kids’ TV channel CBBC, but as HRVY now has over 4.1 million Instagram followers. Trying to claim another UK hit, the singer has released ‘Told You So’. It’s a bop and deserves a good play on Aussie radio. We think you’ll love it.
Having reached the Melodifestivalen grand final, 16-year-old Swedish singer Malou Prytz lands on Aussie radio with her debut single. Coming 12th in her country’s Eurovision national final, ‘I Do Me’ is a breath of fresh air in the current musical landscape. The chorus is made to sing along to, while the story should be familiar to most. We hope Malou keeps doing what she’s doing to give us more bops to enjoy.
