UK boy band The Vamps have teamed up with Jamaican hit-maker Omi for their latest single, I Found a Girl. It kicks off our new music this week.

Originally brought to our attention as one of the members of The Collective, the short-lived boy band curated by the Aussie X Factor, Trent Bell is now solo and independent with a smashingly good debut single, ‘Limitless’.

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard new music from UK production duo Bimbo Jones here at JOY. There’s no better way for them to return to our airwaves than by featuring one of our all-time favourite divas, Inaya Day – and ‘Bad Halo’ is a banger.

When it comes to lesbian twin-sister singer-songwriters it doesn’t get any better than new music from Canadian stars Tegan & Sara, with their new single, ‘Boyfriend’.

Aussie expats The Temper Trap are best remembered for their massive worldwide hit in 2008 ‘Sweet Disposition’. The first single, ‘Fall Together’, from their third studio album is a quality return to form.

LA-based female trio Muna are very new, and we think their debut single, ‘Loudspeaker’, is going to be huge. So we’re onto it first for you.

American girl band Fifth Harmony are going from strength to strength. ‘Work from Home’ has spent three weeks in the Australian top 5, and we couldn’t resist any longer.

Jennifer Lopez has returned to her place of biggest success musically after being elsewhere for nine years by re-signing with Epic Records. The first single to come from this reunion is ‘Ain’t Your Mama’.

And finally, we no longer have to pretend it’s Christmas every time we want to hear Kylie and Dannii’s epic disco anthem ‘100 Degrees’. A re-worked non-Christmas version, including all the original remixes, has hit the e-stores and we love it even more. It’s still disco to us!

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén, Adam or Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
