Kicking off our new music this week is brand-new Melbourne independent trio Muscat. Formed by lead singer Ricky Muscat, their first single, ‘Girlfriend’, is a surprise package of retro-funk, soul and disco.

Straight off the back of his win on Australia’s The Voice 2016 comes the out-and-proud former architect from Sydney, Alfie Arcuri, with his debut single, ‘Cruel’.

Out-and-proud Olly Alexander from British band Years & Years has certainly moved away from any ambiguity there might have been in his previous music videos. The latest single, ‘Worship’, provides us with a new video that leaves nothing to the imagination. Bring a cold towel.

LA-based New Zealand five-piece synth-electronic-pop band The Naked & Famous return to our airwaves with the first single, Higher, from their forthcoming third studio album.

London-based out-and-proud singer-songwriter Shura only came out last December, and is a recent discovery for us. Her debut single, What’s It Gonna Be, is accompanied by a cute video exploring teen love and turning it on its head in a very gay way.

English singer-songwriter Olly Murs has sold over ten million albums worldwide since finishing second on the UK X Factor in 2009. He returns to our airwaves with the lead single from his forthcoming fifth studio album. You’re going to love ‘You Don’t Know Love’.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
