Loving Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix? You’ll love it even more this week.

You may have heard Nicole Millar on Peking Duk’s massive single ‘High‘ back in 2014. Well, she’s back – and ‘Blindfolded’ has exploded since its release late last week. It’s the fourth single from the Sydney-based singer-songwriter and is a perfect way to follow up ‘Signals’. If you need an excuse to dance awkwardly while listening to JOY in public, this is it.

Sydney’s own non-binary-identifying, out-and-proud singer-songwriter is back with a new EP, SOLO, and Brendan Maclean is onto a winner with it. Not only has he released the new single ‘Fighting For’, he’s also about to star in a new ABC iview series, F*cking Adelaide. Couple that with being one of our communities’ biggest voices on social media and you’ve got one very busy, talented bee.

Don’t @ us, but we reckon Nick Jonas is the hottest and most talented of his brothers. His incredible abs aren’t the only reason why ‘Find You’ gets a guernsey in JOY’s daytime mix – it’s also a really good song. It was written during Coachella and Nick premiered it on Ellen a few weeks ago. It’s finally gaining traction on Australian radio. Give it a chance and we think you’ll love it too.

Out-and-proud British artist Ben Davidson has been singing since he was 15 and has just released his first single with Energise. ‘The Chain’ was co-written with the man behind Conchita’s ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ and perfectly hits our sweet spot. He is also a good-looking dad, which doesn’t hurt.

American production and DJ duo Tritonal are ready to get you dancing again thanks to ‘Good Thing’. This is a ripper – over 6.2 million online streams backs that one up – and thanks to Canadian singer Laurell‘s vocals, you’ll have no reason not to join in when the chorus drops.
