The bright lights of commercial radio might have taken Maddy Rowe away from the microphones at JOY, but she’s never too far away from us in her musical guise as GENES. The out-and-proud singer has dropped her second single in ‘When I’m Around You’, and it’s practically made for the daytime mix. We can’t wait for the next bop to come our way!
Since breaking up ten years ago, we’ve been hoping for a Pussycat Dolls reunion. It’s finally happened! ‘React’ is the first release for the American girl group in a decade and comes in time for a headline performance at So Pop, across Australia in April and May. Nicole and the girls have dusted off their signature sound and moves and refreshed them ever so slightly. We think you’ll enjoy it.
Sydney’s Brittany Maggs has been gaining traction through sharing covers and original songs on YouTube. With over 6 million views and a successful tour with Dami Im under her belt, the singer-songwriter has released a brand-new single. ‘Underneath the Sheets’ is the follow-up to ‘Reasons’, and focuses on young tumultuous love.
Afrojack has returned to his old label Spinnin, and is celebrating by releasing ‘All Night’. The Dutch DJ has worked alongside American singer Ally Brooke to deliver the type of dance-pop that will make you want to leap out of your office chair. We reckon you’ll be humming along to the chorus too.
Norwegian newbies S O U N D S landed on daytimes earlier in the year and have just dropped a brand-new track. ‘Back Around’ is the follow-up to ‘Young’ and sees the production duo continuing to develop their dance sound. We look forward to hearing more from these uni mates.
