Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix is here to keep you company from the time you wake up to the time you get home, and these new additions are bound to bring a smile to your face.

Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Eves Karydas launched herself onto the scene with her 2018 debut album, summerskin. ‘Complicated’ is the newest bop to drop and it’s a ripper. Eves’ frustration cuts through the song’s sweetness, and the unexpected ‘Again? Yeah’ is sure to delight. We reckon you’ll love it.

English duo Erasure are due to release their 18th studio album, The Neon, on 21 August. The first single from the record is ‘Hey Now (Think I Got a Feeling)’ and it delivers the synthy-electro pop that we expect from Vince Clarke and out-and-proud Andy Bell. Get that feeling and sing along.

Usually, if you combined sherbet, horses and cricket, you’d end up with quite a messy oval. However, in Australia, it points straight to Daryl Braithwaite. The Aussie legend is back on the pop train with a ditty that was originally written for P!nk. While it might not make a pub cover band’s setlist, ‘Love Songs’ is an earworm nevertheless. It’s a surprising shift for the ARIA Hall of Famer and we’re here for it.

Born to Chinese and Jamaican parents, 19-year-old singer-songwriter Griff has often felt a bit on the outer. The Brit made an impact singing about what she sees in the mirror with her debut single last year, and that impact is reinforced with her newest. Agonies of the heart permeate ‘Forgive Myself’, as pop, r&b and soul collide. While she might not be a big name in Australia yet, we think you’ll be hearing a lot more about Griff over the coming months.

Scooby Doo has made another leap onto the big screen with the release of SCOOB! in cinemas. Accompanying the movie is a massive soundtrack. Canadian singer Lennon Stella teams up with American singer Charlie Puth for the album’s lead single, ‘Summer Feelings’. While we shiver in Melbourne, the sun is out for team Mystery Inc and this track brings all the warmth of summer days straight to your ears. It’s a bop made to warm you from head to toe.
