X Factor 2012 “controversial elimination” boy band What About Tonight head up the Aussie additions this week with their debut single.

Queensland independent artist Casey Barnes returns to the dance floor (for the first time since he voiced the remake of “Tiny Dancer” for Marco Denmark in 2008), teaming up with New Yorker Mark Shine.

Sydney girl Elen Levon lightens up for her third single, adopting a less dance-oriented sound in favour of a very contemporary pop style, reminiscent of Ke$ha but with far more class.

Classy, successful, beautiful, talented and everyone’s favourite Darwinian Jessica Mauboy releases her next single, which also serves as the name of her national tour beginning in November.

Home and Away pin-up boy Johnny Ruffo returns with his third single, channelling early Justin Timberlake.

Speaking of Justin, he heads up the international additions, pushing out the first single of the second volume of the “20/20 Experience”, which is due out in late September. Calvin Harris gives us his NINTH single from “18 Months” (can you believe it?). Sara Bareilles hasn’t had a hit in Australia since 2007 (“Love Song”), but her new single has a good chance of hitting the mark. Italian producer Benny Benassi teams up with US nine-time Grammy-winning John Legend for his latest.

Finally, Hazell Dean’s album of covers is released this week and her latest single, a cover of a 1968 Shirley Bassey song, is apparently on high rotation at G.A.Y. in London – how could we resist!

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday morning at 6am.
