Aussie music from Empire of the Sun starts us off this week. “Celebrate” is the third single from Ice on the Dune and is a little different from “Alive” and “DNA”. “Celebrate” will hopefully do better chartwise than “DNA”, which didn’t make a mark anywhere in the world, despite the relative success of the album.
German producer Tensnake teams up with Aussie singer Fiora and legendary guitarist/songwriter/producer of the disco era Nile Rodgers. A lush retro-feeling disco-house track is the result.
Little Mix return with their second single from the second studio album. A mid-nineties classic R&B feel is immediately apparent.
Mausi are a UK four-piece who have just been signed to Sony Music worldwide. Move is their debut major-label release.
US DJ-producer Morgan Page’s 2012 album, In the Air, surpassed all expectations after his initial worldwide success in 2008 with the single “The Longest Road”, featuring Lissie, set the bar high. Against the World holds that standard, successfully straddling the Dance and Pop genres.
