Kicking off proceedings this week is a new Swedish singer and producer, Syn Cole, with Bright Lights. Cole is the first artist signed to Avicii’s own label.
Two new out-and-proud artists are added to our lists this week. The first is Los Angeles-based Adam Tyler, with “Knew You Better”. The second is from Australian Adam Lopez, with his remarkable cover of the 1982 ABBA song, When All Is Said and Done, produced by the inimitable Matt Pop. Adam holds the Guinness World Record for the highest vocal note ever sung by a man, which he set on Australian television in 2008.
While Kylie Minogue’s latest album debuted at #1 in the Australian charts back in March, the first two singles have failed to perform. Kylie will be hoping for better with “Sexy Love”.
Sixth place in the 2012 series of the UK X Factor was enough for Simon Cowell to sign up Ella Henderson. Her debut release is looking to chart very well in the UK this week and earns a quick turnaround for radio in Australia.
