Kicking off our new music this week is DJ Tiësto’s remix of Sam Smith’s latest single, ‘Lay Me Down’.
American indie rock band Walk the Moon formed in 2008 and have two studio albums under their belt with Sony Music, but their latest single has taken the charts by storm both in the USA and here in Australia. Shut Up + Dance is a ridiculous nod to just about every eighties song you’ve ever liked.
Aussie soul-pop singer-songwriter Nathaniel returns to our airwaves with his fourth release since X Factor 2013. ‘Flava’ delivers something slightly different once again, continuing to demonstrate Nathaniel’s style progression. A debut album is expected later this year.
Last but by no means least, we round out our new additions with a celebratory remix of a number one hit from 1978. It’s 40 years since Boney M creator Frank Farian released ‘Baby Do You Wanna Bump’ and to celebrate Sony have released ‘Diamonds – 40th Anniversary edition’ a 53-track triple CD pack. It includes a fantastic new remix of ‘Rasputin’ from Swedish producer Bassflow. We really couldn’t resist.
