Today we expose the USA based anti-gay, Adam Hood by airing his story of being saved from his homosexuality. A leader of the “Ex-Gay†movement, his arrival in Australia has caused outrage. Psychologist Paul Martin, himself a former leader of the Ex-Gay movement in Australia, is now celebrated leader within the GLBTI community. Paul explains the damage caused to a wide rage of people by the homophobic hatred espoused by such religious based organizations. Greg Adkins from the Anti-Violence Project reveals why local government councils withdrew their venues where Adam Hood was to speak here in Melbourne. We then discover what it is like to live and work with St Kilda’s Street Sex Workers with Gemma-Rose Turnbull who has spent the last 12 months as artist-in-residence at the St Kilda Gatehouse. The results are an extraordinary book and exhibition titled Red Light Dark Room. And to lighten the load, the always entertaining Vascoe Myers talks entertainment.
