‘Newly elected President of the Victorian AIDS Council / Gay Men’s Health Centre, Michael Williams joins us on the eve of World AIDS Day (Dec 1). With Victoria’s new infection rates being the worst in the country and Australia’s national infection rates some 50% greater than a decade ago, the VAC have a big job ahead of them if they are to turn the tide. Then Burnet’s Head of Development and Public Affairs, Paul Rathbone tells us about the amazing work that the research institute is doing around the world and informs us of a little cup-cake fundraiser they are having on World AIDS Day. Last Thursday Dean attended the launch of the 2013 Midsumma Program and caught up with the artistic coordinator for the Premier Events, Adam Gardnir and former CEO of Midsumma Adam Lowe. Then David Hunt from JOY lets us know what is happening to celebrate JOY’s 19th Birthday this Saturday.
