This week on Out Takes we’re pulling out our already dog-eared Melbourne Queer Film Festival program and getting in the festival spirit.
Program Manager Spiro Economopoulos joins us to run through the festival’s formidable line up: from the frivolous to the avant garde; films that inform and films that make us #ProudToBeDifferent.
We’re also joined by director Poppy Stockwell, whose sporting doco Scrum, which charts the Sydney Convicts journey to the Bingham Cup, has its Melbourne premiere at the festival. Finally, we chat with director Jacintho Muinos, whose short feature Cake premieres as part of the festival’s exciting line up of shorts.
Take a look at the 2016 festival program. Still not sure what to see? Read through Daniel’s selections for the top picks for the time poor.
