NDENTS: AMERICAN CINEMA NOW and speak with Richard Sowada, the curator behind the festival, about the inspiration for this eclectic mix of cinema and the changing landscape of independent American film.
We then take a look at some of the canonical films showing at the festival. From MAPPLETHORPE: LOOK AT THE PICTURES, to CRUISING and INTERIOR: LEATHER BAR, these are perfect examples of the queer independent scene that mediate unique segments of American society.
