The Good, the Camp and the Fabulous – Happy Radiothon!

To celebrate JOY’s Radiothon, the team behind the queerest cinema show on community radio in Australia took the opportunity to ask our fellow presenters what their favourite queer films are and why they make them laugh, cry and want to kick some ass! We also weigh in with our favourites in a variety of categories that salute LGBTjoy-signature-banner.radiothonIQ cinema, highlighting the best in being camp, sexy, fierce, thought provoking and more. Many of the films mentioned are obvious classics but there was a few surprising selections in there as well, showcasing why JOY is a perfect representation of our eclectic and diverse community.

We are then joined by our special guest, the Australian Academy Award winning animation auteur . In the lead up to a retrospective screening of his short films, we take a look back at his career, the inspiration behind his award winning work and get the scoop on what he has in store for us next. He also helps us choose the winners of our our very queer movie poll, which in the theme of JOY’s Radiothon, see’s us being out, loud and proud when it comes to our favourites too.
