Romance Cinema

For this program, the OUT TAKES we’re getting in the Valentine’s Day spirit by taking a look at many well known and much loved saccharine and sentimental romance films: think Hollywood classics like TITANIC, THE BODYGUARD and THE NOTEBOOK, farcical romps like NOTTING HILL and of-course, queer fare such as BEAUTIFUL THING to set your hearts alight.

We also spoke with director April Mullen, whose new film BELOW HER MOUTH has been called ‘a cinematic voice for the female orgasm’. It featured at the 2017 Mardi Gras Film Festival and was being released across the U.S. in time for Valentine’s Day.
