The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives. 

For this OUT TAKES program, we spoke with Megan Townsend, Senior Strategist of Entertainment Media at GLAAD, about this year’s batch of GLAAD Media Award nominees and the importance of fair, accurate and inclusive representation. 

Following a special OUT TAKES broadcast earlier in the week, live from ACMI and in honour of the 27th Melbourne Queer Film Festival, we also turned our attention to the Festival and discussed some exclusive news about it.
