On Screen Mothers

This week on OUT TAKES we celebrated Mothers Day by counting down the ten most memorable on-screen mothers from the annals of queer Hollywood cinema; mothers that we ranked for their ‘charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent’ and sheer motherly charm: think Cate Blanchett’s CAROL or Mary Griffith from PRAYERS FOR BOBBY.

This is no small feat, so we called in Felicity Marlowe from Rainbow Families to give us a hand! Did your favourite on-screen Mother make the cut? Tune in to this podcast to find out.

Essential Viewing: Prayers for Bobby (Dir. Russell Mulcahy, 2009)

Hungry for More: Lion (Dir. Garth Davis, 2016)
