The Freedom to Marry

For this episode of Out Takes, we looked at THE FREEDOM TO MARRY, the timely new documentary from film maker Eddie Rosenstein.

THE FREEDOM TO MARRY charts the inside story of the marriage equality movement in North America, from its early days to the steps of the US Supreme Court in 2015.

To help us explore this remarkable new documentary, we were be joined by film maker Eddie Rosenstein. We were also joined by Evan Wolfson (pictured), who has been called ‘the architect of gay marriage’ and whose decades long fight for marriage equality is chronicled in THE FREEDOM TO MARRY. In 2004 Wolfson made Time Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. He joined us to talk about the documentary, why it’s so timely, and what we can do as a community to work towards marriage equality in Australia.

Essential Viewing: The Freedom to Marry (2016, Dir. Eddie Rosenstein).
