The Wonderful World of Wonder Woman

The Out Takes team were very excited to celebrate the long anticipated theatrical release of WONDER WOMAN, which is already shattering box office records worldwide and garnering rave reviews. But how queer is DC’s latest take on the Amazonian demigoddess and Justice League founder?

To dig deeper in to Wonder Woman’s world, we were joined by Naja Later, who has published research on superheroes and co-founded the All Star Women’s Comic Book Club, to look at the critical import of stories like WONDER WOMAN and their place in the queer canon. We looked at why so many within the LGBTIQ community identify so closely with Diana and also what makes this movie stand out from the rest of the super hero pack (hint – it has something to do with love).
