Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2018 – part 2

As it’s one of our favourite film festivals, the Out Takes team decided that one program wasn’t enough this year so we decided to take a further look in to some of the great films on offer at the 2018 Melbourne Queer Film Festival.

For this episode, Gina spoke with film maker Paul Oremland about his latest and very personal documentary ‘100 Men’. This part-memoir / part-fast track though 40 years of gay history is told via a countdown of Paul’s most memorable sexual encounters. This isn’t just a blow-by-blow account of past glories; instead, Paul uses a personal lens to explore the key moments that have defined the contemporary gay experience and takes a look in to the future to see where this road to acceptance for the LGBTIQ community could lead us.

The team also look at some of their hits and misses in this years program guide and surprisingly agree on most of them!
