For this special program, it was all about Almodóvar, Pedro that is. To coincide with PEDRO ALMODÓVAR: A COMPLETE RETROSPECTIVE at the Classic and Lido cinemas, featuring all 22 of his films screening from now until June, we caught up with the Classic & Lido’s Marketing Manager Jaymes Durante to look at what we can expect to see and discover across the coming months on the big screen at this cinematic event. We were also joined by a great friend of the show who is also Madman Cinema’s Theatrical Acquisitions Manager, Paul Tonta, to get his take on Amodovar’s legacy and to discuss Almodóvar’s latest film ‘Parallel Mothers’ which Variety called his best film since ‘All About My Mother’, the Guardian UK gave it 4 out of 5 stars and the LA Times says ‘Parallel Mothers,’ with a superb Penélope Cruz, is Pedro Almodóvar at his best.
