Out Takes Extra: One on One with Billy Eichner on ‘Bros’

For this Out Takes exclusive, we got to speak with openly gay comedian, actor and producer Billy Eichner. He’s well known for his star turns in many popular TV shows including Parks and Recreation, American Crime Story and Bob’s Burgers, plus he was the voice of Timon in the 2019 remake of the Disney blockbuster ‘The Lion King’. He’s coming back to the big screen later this year with Bros who’s first official trailer dropped this week (NSFW) and is making headlines everywhere!

With this film, Billy Eichner is the first openly gay man to co-write, co-produce and star in his own major studio film, a gay rom-com no less, that features an entirely LGBTQ+ principal cast. Here he tells us about why he’s excited for the film to get out in to the world and why Queer representation on camera and behind the scenes is so important to him. Keep up to date with the film by following brosthemovie and Billy Eichner on Instagram and of course we’ll keep you posted on when it’s hitting our screens too.
