Out Takes 2022 in Review

Whilst many of us were happy to see the back of 2022, we couldn’t let the opportunity go by to look at some of the best queer content from the year that was. So for our first show for 2023, we celebrated our favourite queer films and TV shows from 2022 – everything from local indie period fare (think OF AN AGE) to animated fantasies (we’re looking at you TURNING RED and LIGHTYEAR) and a neo-gothic romantic road movie featuring cannibals (how could we not look at BONES AND ALL from two time Out Takes guest Luca Guadagnino). We also looked at some of the trends that made 2022 a challenging year for cinema and an exciting year for queer TV.
