This week we round out the awards season with a look at the GLAAD Media Awards Los Angeles nominees.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognise and honour media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities and the issues that affect their lives. So we took this as an opportunity to take a look at the categories for most outstanding film and tv series and weigh in on who might take home the big awards.

We speak with Megan Townsend, GLAAD media entertainment strategist, about why the awards are so important, and look at some of this year’s nominees. We also hear from director Andrew Haigh about his series LOOKING, and what we can expect for the upcoming HBO movie that will round out the series.
