The Truth About Cats and Dogs

There are many common misconceptions out there when it comes to our beloved companion animals. For instance, many people believe dogs and cats play up to annoy us, because they are jealous or want our attention; that desexing a cat or dog will change their personality; and that cats only purr when they are happy.

There are also unfortunate myths around shelter animals too. They are sometimes perceived as ‘damaged goods’, carriers of illnesses or disease, that shelters don’t have puppies or kittens and that adopting from shelter means that you never know what you’re going to get.

Tune in and the Pets-A-Loud team take on the task of busting some commonly held myths about cats and dogs. There are the obvious, and then the not so obvious myths that may actually surprise you!
