Spring into Spring with Pets-A-Loud!

Society & Culture

Spring

The sudden but welcomed increase in temperatures felt across most capital cities in recent days has helped shake off our winter blues, shed some of the many layers of clothing we have accumulated to stay warm over the colder months and well, put a spring in our steps!

While there are many reasons to celebrate the arrival of spring, it’s also a crucial time to check that your home and garden are pet friendly for the warmer months.

From plants to fertilisers, the average backyard can have plenty of potential poisons that are toxic to cats and dogs, while a thorough clean of your pets’ toys and bedding can help prevent health issues including the spreading of fleas.

On Pets-A-Loud today the crew:

  • Get out their microscopes to examine and provide tips on potential spring-time hazards in your home and backyard,
  • Hear from pet owners about what they love about spring,
  • Speak with Dr Alan from the Frank Samways Veterinary Clinic about his top tips for spring,
  • And, celebrate Father’s Day by looking at dads and their special bonds with pets.

The team will be back next week with the second edition of the Spring Special to explore ways to prepare your pets for the warmer month through grooming and health checks.
