QueerCast is an LGBT+ podcast dedicated to informing, entertaining, uplifting and empowering the community in Asia, produced by and for the LGBTIQ community of Singapore and heard exclusively on JOY 94.9 via podcast at JOY.org.au.
Queercast started out one night in 2005 over drinks at a gay bar called Mox in Tanjong Pagar. Frustrated over the lack of discussion and silence around LGBT issues in Singapore, two friends decided to start a podcast with the objective of informing, entertaining and engaging the community. Thus, Queercast was born. For two years no topic was taboo. Queercast has and will continue to cover issues like HIV, racism, religion and everything in between, doing so with a laugh and an occasional lip sync.
JOY is proud to provide a platform to LGBTIQ communities across the globe to be heard. In this case you'll go on a journey with your hosts of Queercast Nicholas Deroose, Ian Lee, Emeric Lau and their various contributors, educating, uplifting and empowering listeners within and outside of Singapore.
