JOY 94.9’s Men’s Health Forum

Did you know that more men smoke than women? Or that depression in men can often be harder to diagnose? Many health and wellbeing issues differ in their treatment between the sexes. And gay men often find it particularly difficult to find a medical professional to understand their individual situation.

This Saturday, JOY 94.9 is holding a special Men’s Health Forum, with thanks to Foundation 49 and Beyond Blue. Guests will include Professor Doug Lording from Foundation 49 and Andrology Australia, Todd Davies from Drummond Street Services, Dr George Forgan-Smith, Beyond Blue’s CEO Kate Carnell, and many more.

Saturday Magazine’s David McCarthy (Macca) will be joined by co-host Brian Mier from Male Health Victoria as well as a range of experts and others with personal stories to contribute. Tune in from 10am, Saturday June 15 for this special Men’s Health Forum. And as always, your questions and comments are most welcome throughout the broadcast.
