Star Observer Digital is Sydney’s pop-up digital radio station, expressing sex, sexuality and gender diversities. And until March 16, you can hear a selection of JOY’s programming (including Saturday Magazine), throughout the harbour city.
Powered by Sydney’s 2ser 107.3, Star Observer Digital features programs from JOY, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, SYN and RTR as well as original content from 2ser.
2ser was established in 1979 as an educational radio station by a consortium of universities. The broadcaster aims to “provide a stimulating forum for learning and the expression of alternative ideas, informed by and promoting principles of social justice.”
JOY of-course is Australia’s first LGBTIQ radio station. The community broadcaster celebrated its 20th birthday last year, and continues to reach 329,000 Melburnians (plus more online).
