Simon Ruth, CEO of Victorian AIDS Council @VACorg, on the announcement that the Pharmaceutical Benefit Advisory Committee (PBAC) has recommended HIV preventative drug PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) be made available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). The government has previously committed to listing PReP on the PBS if the PBAC recommended it. Is this a watershed moment in the fight against HIV?
