Councillor Steve Staikos @estaikos recently took up the rotating Mayorship at Kingston City Council @kingstoncc in Melbourne’s South East. Before the postal survey, the council voted to fly the rainbow flag until full marriage equality was achieved in Australia. He discusses what it’s like to live life as an openly gay mayor.
