The Melbourne Awards finalists for 2019 have been announced and two of the finalists will tell us about what it means to be a finalist. Little Dreamers now offers a support network to young carers across Australia, through mentoring experiences and personal development to providing care and allowing carers to have a break, and CEO & Founder Madeline Buchner is in the studio. We also have Ayesha from SalamFest. In 2017, an SBS study found that 31.6 per cent of respondents had ‘negative’ feelings towards Muslim Australians. SalamFest is a creative response to change these numbers for the better through events, music and food – things that Melbournians identify with the most.
