Sally Capp @SallyCapp_, our favourite Lord Mayor @LordMayorMelb, is in the studio to talk about so many things but most excitingly her new role as JOY ambassador with Peter Hitchener. Carnival, Grand Slam with Australian Open, Grand Prix – so many events in Melbourne. This weekend will be Chinese New Year and Pride March. Other heritage issues include upgrade to the southern end of Elizabeth Street that will improve pedestrian access and the major heritage restoration works to preserve the Queen Victoria Market’s historic open-air sheds. Melbourne is a caring city & for people experiencing homelessness they will be given free movie tickets, water bottles, and increased access to places where they can keep cool on days of extreme heat.
