 In the news recently was an incident involving the editing of a female MP’s body, which was attributed to AI automation. News channel Nine, who produced the image, blamed an ‘automation’ error in Photoshop. A response from Adobe, the company behind Photoshop, “cast doubt” on Nine’s claim, according to the framing of multiple news outlets. “Any changes to this image would have required human intervention and approval,” a spokesperson said.

Some of the questions and issues raised:  Is gender discrimination inherent in AI models? If so, why is this the case? Can AI models be modified against gender discrimination?
