Joining us as our first guest, is Chanel Contos, the remarkable young activist who turned a viral Instagram story into a national movement. She’s the founder of Teach Us Consent, a published author, and a passionate advocate for reshaping how we talk about sex, desire, and respect.
Founder of Teach Us Consent, a grassroots movement that began as an Instagram poll in 2021. It quickly grew into a national push for mandatory consent education in Australian schools.
Her advocacy led to bipartisan political support, including engagement with multiple federal education ministers and former Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

- Diana Award recipient for humanitarian work
Holds a Master’s in Education, Gender and International Development from University College London.
Recently appointed by Julia Gillard to chair the Youth Advisory Committee for the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership.
Author of Consent Laid Bare: Sex, Entitlement and the Distortion of Desire, released in 2024 — a candid, research-informed exploration of rape culture and how we can unlearn it.
