Lamestream is an independent podcast and newsletter tackling the crisis in media. They cover how the media shapes news, culture, politics and current affairs, and how the industry’s transformation is reshaping the world we live in.

Lamestream is hosted by award-winning journalists Osman Faruqi and Scott Mitchell. Between them, they have worked for almost every media organisation in the country.

Scott Mitchell is an Australian Podcast Award-winning journalist and editor. He most recently served as Editor and Executive Producer of the 7am podcast. Previously, he’s served as Digital Lead for the Audio Current Affairs division at ABC News, was a founding producer of the Rose d’Or-winning TV show You Can’t Ask That, and was one of the cast of ABC TV’s Hungry Beast.
