For the first Saturday Magazine of 2016, Macca and Pete (fresh from Bali) cover the results of the bush-fires around Victoria, as Jane Garett reports on how the Emergency Services have responded.

After a spiel about Natalie Coles’ passing, there a bit of lamentation with Mary Crawford about the newest upsets in Federal Parliament.

Pete presents a replay of his interview with John Taylor of Duran Duran fame.

After covering some legislative changes in the new year, including 1$ stamps, the team talk first to Phil King about the ensuing moderate temperatures for the upcoming week, then to Zoe Daniel in Washington about the final push for America’s presidential primaries, plus gun control.

After some more commentary on Parliament, Darren Boyd chips in with the week’s sport, especially with the Davis Cup, the cricket’s Big Bash and the neglect of women’s basketball.
