Birth certificate reform bill passes Victorian Parliament

Sage Akouri @SageAkouri from Equality Australia @EqualityAU joins us to discuss Victoria’s momentous Birth Reform Bill that allows our trans and gender diverse community to easily change official documents to reflect their true identity. So many people will get a positive outcome, and for those it isn’t relevant to there’s no cost. Trans and Gender Diverse people who have been disinclined from getting licenses, leases, bank accounts, centrelink, and Medicare; all for fear of showing identity documents that do not reflect them.
