Spoken Word Episode 6: Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival

This week on Spoken Word we were live on air, not pre-recorded. We were joined by Tiff, from the Brimbank Writers and Readers festival, talking about their struggle, their journey as a Trans-person growing up in Malaysia and now living in Melbourne as well as what’s on offer at the festival.

Brimbank Libraries – Nothing to Hide: Voices of Trans and Gender Diverse Australia-Author Talks & Workshops – authors Yves Rees, Anastasia Le, Tiff Tan and Jack Nicholls as they showcase the wealth of creativity and experiences within the trans and gender-diverse community.

Brimbank Libraries – A Question of Age: Jacinta Parsons in Conversation with Emily Spurr-Author Talks & Workshops – “Question of Age is incendiary, raging and raw, but also compassionate, insightful and powerfully energising. It is a book for every woman looking in the mirror thinking she no longer recognises herself.”

Our events are no charge and well attended but part of what we like to do is support our panellists build their profile and share their stories and messages in their communities and beyond. The full program is here: Brimbank Libraries – Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival.
