55:03 to 1:14:58 mins–Classical guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, otherwise known as The Grigoryan Brothers, are here to talk about their newly released album-Songs Without Words–with compositions arranged by their father. They also talk about their music, their journeys to fame, community radio, their father, and the challenge of making their guitar music ‘sing’ for this album. Then they play 2 pieces for us, LIVE in the studio!! First is Tchaikovsky’s None but the Lonely Heart-an early work that he composed for Piano and Voice. Next is a piece by French composer Gabriel Fauré called Après un rêve (After a dream). The brothers tell us about other projects–1) They recorded 3 Bach concertos with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for a new album; 2) they’re touring in July with k.d.lang; and 3)they’re touring with Flamenco guitarist Paco Peña in August.
