Paul and Little Jase speak with Suzannah and Rik about the events that led to consulting with various health professionals to finally learn that Leo has 47,XXY (Klinefelter syndrome.) Klinefelter syndrome is a congenital condition, where males are born with one or more extra X chromosomes. The condition may cause slow language and walking development, as well as learning and behavioural problems. It is a condition that can easily be confused with Autism. Klinefelter syndrome is diagnosed by means of blood tests: called karyotype, which is a genetic test that looks at the chromosomes.
