Mardi Gras Special

The Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has been held in Sydney every year since 1978. Notably, the event has now become a colourful and joyous celebration of all things LGBTIQA+. This year, Mardi Gras was held on Saturday 28 February. Additionally, Mardi Gras saw the return of Australia’s intersex community. Plus, this is the first time they have marched since 2018. Besides, Intersex representatives travelled from across Australia and marched and danced along to the cheers of onlookers. They sported the wonderful intersex flag inspired attire and caps, inviting everyone to join the wave of change for intersex rights.

Special guests, Gwen Smith and Bonnie Hart, joined Paul and Cody on tonight’s episode. They talked about their participation in Mardi Gras, and what was an extraordinary weekend in Sydney. Enjoy!!
