Despite bans and campaigns LGTBI smoking stays high

 

LGTBI people are much more likely to smoke than most other groups.

Measures such smoking bans in venues and public health campaigns appear to have been less successful in impacting our community.

With a new law in Victoria banning now banning smoking outside dining areas in venues Ian and Lara find out about the impact on people and venues. They spoke to Dr Sarah White, Director of QUIT Victoria and also to Karen Price Deputy CEO of ACON which has led in developing the Smoke Free, Stay Fierce campaign targeting women.
