Pride, PrEP and Prejudice? : 22nd August 2017
Lara and Ian talk to two of the non-executive Directors of the Victorian Pride Centre,
Shu Das and Stuart Kollmorgen.

Pride In our  Centre?
We hear about how a virtual pride centre is already taking shape, discuss current and future community engagement and explore how the business model is shaping to fund, build and sustain this project which will house and support LGTBI causes.

What price PrEP?
In the second part of the show we dig deeper to understand the disappointing news that government advisers have delayed a decision to support subsidy of the HIV prevention known as PrEP.

We spoke to Darryl O’Donnell from the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and PrEP Advocate Rodney Ellis. What we discover is that the delay appears to be due to uncertainties about how many individuals are likely to want to use this HIV prevention tool – and we also picked up some insights into how the pricing and licensing of PrEP drugs is an international issue.
