High Court 101 and International Overdose Awareness Day : 31st August 2017

Senator Janet Rice opens tonights show speaking at the Melbourne Equal Love Rally on the weekend.

First up, it’s High Court 101, as we speak to some of the parties involved in trying to stop the proceedings with the postal vote on same sex marriage in the High Court next week.

Lee Carnie, a Lawyer from the Human Rights Law Centre who have taken action on behalf of Australian Marriage Equality and Senator Janet Rice against the Australian Governments postal plebiscite.

Felicity Marlowe and Camilla from the Public Interest Advocacy Centre speak to us now about what it is like leading up to the High Court Case.

It’s International Overdose Awareness Day today, and tonight we will be speaking to Brandon Cook a journalist who has written extensively about his experience with addiction and recovery, and discuss why it’s important to have these conversations.
